Maori Design - Traditional Maori Hei Matau (fish hook) pendant, hand carved in Jade City

This beautiful traditional Maori Hei Matau was hand carved right here in Jade City by Cameron Hewitt. This piece is carved from jade mined at our 2 mile mine site. The Hei Matau symbolises strength and prosperity. It also holds significance for the traditional Maori beliefs of respect for the sea. The pendant comes with a traditional Maori silk cord necklace that was hand braided by Cameron. The piece measures: H 6.5cm W 4cm D 0.5cm
